This sculpture represents an old cedar chest with carved panels, except this is the Chief of the Sea, so the carved panels are formed of primary form lines done in copper, and secondary form lines in bright colored glass form lines. All the colors used are like traditional colors that would have been painted on the carved cedar chest. This piece can be lighted from the inside and has a 1/4 inch tempered glass top, to make it usable as a coffee table.
