Story: A young man left to drown by his brothers-in-law was rescued by sea lions. The sea lions offered to let him return home if he would create an animal that would protect them from their enemy the whale. He carved a giant fish of yellow cedar and burned a fire beneath it, it came alive and swam out to sea. He instructed the "whale killer", to help the sea lions fight their enemy the whale.
